At JADDE, we believe that innovation can and must rise to meet the world’s most urgent climate threats. That’s why we are proud to announce the launch of the Flood Resilience and Response Challenge, a new program initiated by JADDE in partnership with EIT, Europe’s leading innovation ecosystem.
Floods are among the most destructive and costly natural disasters worldwide. With climate change driving greater frequency and intensity of extreme weather, the need for smarter, faster, and more coordinated solutions has never been more pressing.
Through this new program, startups tackling flood forecasting, decision-making, and event communication will gain:
- Expert mentoring from leading practitioners in water management and climate resilience.
- Industry connections to accelerate development and deployment.
- Market entry opportunities across Europe and beyond.
- Access to EG – Germany’s largest water management association.
This is more than an accelerator. It’s a chance to shape how communities respond to climate disasters, save lives, and protect infrastructure at scale.
Why now?
From Europe to Asia to the Pacific, flood disasters are displacing families, disrupting economies, and threatening fragile ecosystems. Traditional systems are stretched thin, and communities need resilient, tech-enabled responses. By convening innovators and giving them the support to grow, we’re building the foundations of tomorrow’s disaster resilience.
Who should apply?
We’re calling on startups and innovators who are working on solutions for:
- Flood prediction and modeling
- Risk communication and public awareness
- Crisis coordination and decision support
- Early warning systems and real-time response tools
Deadline to apply: 16 October 2025
